LOCAL TEEN DESIGNS DASH
FOR THE CURE T-SHIRT

High School Junior, Ashley
Lorimer, is the winning artist in The Regional Eye Center
Dash for the Cure T-shirt Design Contest. 16 year old Lorimer was
one of several very creative entries and chosen because of the
spirit of her design.
“We felt
Ashley’s design embodied the spirit of dash for the cure, which is
all people pulling together to find a cure for cancer,” said Dash
Director Jacki Wolfe.

MALE BREAST CANCER SURVIVOR TO JOIN
TRI-CITIES RACE FOR THE CURE
KINGSPORT, Tenn.
- Sept 18, 2006 —Mark A. Goldstein has participated in 160 Susan
G. Komen Race for the Cure’s since 1992. This year he will be part of
the first ever Tri-Cities Race.
Mark was diagnosed
with breast cancer at the age of 55 in May 1988. Since then, his
objective has been to heighten awareness of breast cancer issues,
especially to dispel the misconception that Breast Cancer is “for women
only”.

KIDS CAN MAKE
A DIFFERENCE AND DASH FOR THE CURE
KINGSPORT, Tenn.
- Aug 30, 2006 — The Tri-Cities affiliate of the Susan G.
Komen Foundation will make history on October 1, 2006 by
hosting the very first Tri-Cities Race for the Cure. The first
annual event is not just for adults, children will have a chance to
lend a hand against breast cancer during Dash for the Cure.
“We are so
excited to have Dash for the Cure where children can "dash" for
their mothers, grandmothers, teachers, and friends who have had
breast cancer,” said Tri-Cities Race for the Cure Chair
